Design Challenges and Crafted Solutions
The Client on this project was thrilled with the design and layout delivered by the team, but there was one aspect to this package that was lacking. A reflection to the roots. The college owes its beginnings to a collection of institutions that combined into the University that exists today. This historic union is commemorated through the existing bench with stones from each college and an engraving that represents the respective institution. Through these simple images I was able to reconstruct a digital double and use the exact stone textures in the re-envisioned historical memorial. Having digital doubles of these important assets allowed for a smooth and quick iterations and enabled a design process that made sure these elements didn’t get lost in the new campus redesign.
