Its all in the Details

This project began with a children’s daycare playground design. As part of the site design there was a custom Tree House nestled in the play spaces. As a collaboration with ORO Design Group I was given reference photos and a design brief for a Tree House Play structure. Using 3D modeling I was able to create a scaled model of this custom playhouse. The value in this model was in the details. The framing structure and dimensions were critical to helping communicate the design intent to the contractor. There wasn’t a need for construction drawings, the renders and the scale model with dimensions allowed for a smooth build process and a successful product.

When developing custom built solutions, having a 3D model with such detail allows the design team to provide massive value and impact to the finished product. The “as built” photo speaks for itself.
